The announcement came on April 28, 2025, sparking a wave of excitement across the fandom. "Hollow" will serve as the main track of Stray Kids’ new Japanese mini album, which is set for release on June 18, 2025.

This marks Stray Kids' first Japanese mini album in almost three years, following their 2022 release of "CIRCUS" — making "Hollow" a highly meaningful comeback, especially for their Japanese STAYs. The timing is also special as it follows their celebration of their 5th Japanese debut anniversary on March 18 this year.
